2027 Fun4All Instructor Application

Join the Fun4All team! We are accepting applications for lead and assistant instructor opportunities in communities across the country. Our instructors help create organized, hands-on, and memorable enrichment experiences for children.

About Fun4All

Since 2019, Fun4All has partnered with recreation departments to provide engaging enrichment programs for children. We develop the curricula, provide the materials, and support our instructors so they can focus on delivering positive experiences for participants.

What We Look For

Our strongest lead instructor candidates typically have several years of experience in education, childcare, recreation, or another setting involving children. Assistant instructor opportunities may be a good fit for candidates with some related experience, including college students preparing for careers in education or youth development.

Reliable transportation to and from assigned program locations
Punctuality, dependability, and strong communication
Enthusiasm for working with children and leading hands-on activities
The ability to maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive environment

Employment Status and Required Forms

Instructors working in California or Massachusetts will be hired as short-term W-2 employees. They will complete federal and applicable state employee-withholding forms, and required payroll taxes will be withheld from their pay.

Instructors working in other states will generally be engaged as independent contractors and will complete Form W-9. Final classification and required documents will be confirmed during the hiring process based on the instructor’s work location and applicable requirements.

All selected instructors must complete a criminal background check and satisfy any additional requirements that apply to working with children in their assigned state or community.

Lead Instructor Role

Lead instructors complete online training. Fun4All provides the curriculum, daily schedule, and program materials. Lead instructors are responsible for reviewing the plans in advance, transporting the supplied materials to the program site, and leading the program each day.

Lead children generally in grades 1-6 through structured enrichment activities
Take attendance and follow required arrival, dismissal, and safety procedures
Communicate professionally with Fun4All and recreation-department staff
Maintain a clean, organized program space and oversee daily setup and cleanup

Compensation: $35 per hour for scheduled program hours.

Assistant Instructor Role

Assistant instructors support the lead instructor by helping children with activities, working with small groups, preparing and organizing materials, assisting with setup and cleanup, and helping maintain a safe and positive environment.

Compensation: $20 per hour for scheduled program hours.

Program Scheduling

Most Fun4All programs take place during the summer, typically Monday through Friday. Opportunities vary by location and participant enrollment. An instructor may be offered one program week or multiple weeks, but a specific number of programs or hours cannot be guaranteed. A scheduled program may not run if it does not reach the required enrollment.
